Hemangiosarcoma: The Last Days

This week’s episode of Dog Cancer Answers features Dr. Trina Hazzah, an integrative oncologist outside of Los Angeles. Dr. Hazzah, as always, offers a wealth of “answers” to the question Sharon, a caller from New Jersey poses: is her dog’s gagging the hemangiosarcoma spreading to his lungs? Is this the end? How does she know, and what should she do?
The bottom line, of course, is that without further imaging it will be difficult to know exactly what is causing the gagging. But Dr. Trina points out that depending upon what the images reveal, this could be a simple fix.
For example, Pepcid AC in particular tends to relieve GI upset really well for dogs. Like, way better than anyone would ever assume.
There are several other specific recommendations Dr. Trina makes that will be helpful to anyone dealing with hemangiosarcoma.
